Dear Reception Parents,
Welcome to all of our new Reception children, as well as familiar faces and new families! The children have had their first morning and have been enjoying their introduction to life at Cabot. Even the most confident child can feel a little wobbly at the beginning of the year, so please do not worry if there is a little anxiety or some tears; they will soon settle. Having said that, it has mostly been smiles all round, as you can see, if you visit our blog at:

Uniform:
The children look lovely in their uniforms and more jumpers have been ordered. Please make sure to label all items of clothing. If you have not ordered your uniform, please can you call in to the school Reception and talk to Jo or Lorene?
Curriculum:
Our topic this term is called ‘All About Me’ and the children have been telling us about their families, and talking about what they liked to do in Nursery and what they are looking forwards to doing in Cabot Reception!
In the coming weeks, we will be exploring our school as well as venturing further afield within the local area. If anyone would like to come on a walk with us, just let Miss Pearce or Mr Caldwell know.
More detailed curriculum information is available on the parents’ board- one of which is outside Reception, the other is inside. You can also contact us directly by phone if there is anything else you need to know, or are unsure about. Please phone after 3:15pm and if we are in a meeting we will get back to you as soon as possible!
Many Thanks
The Reception Team
