This is the last week of Term 1 and we are all impressed with how much the children have been learning and how independent they are. Here are some examples of the creative work that they have been doing all on their own!

Mehndi & Milkshakes
This week the children have had a visit from Jwana's mum who came in to draw Mehndi patterns for us. She is very talented and the children thought the patterns were lovely! She drew them on to card for us and we did our own patters next to it.
Mr Shamsudin comes in to work with us on Thursday and Friday. He had a great time helping the children make a banana smoothie. The children came up with another rhyme for this recipe: 'Yummy, yummy in my tummy!' It was easy to make- just blend together milk and bananas. Try it at home!
The children have all been doing very well learning their sounds. We have covered:

Bread and Babies!
We had another busy week last week!
On Wednesday we baked some bread and everyone tried some straight out of the oven- it was delicious.
On Thursday, one of Miss Pearce's friends brought in baby Eddison and we asked his mummy some questions:
'What does a baby eat?'
'Does he have a nappy?'
'Why doesn't he talk?'
and many more...
Can you think about what you could and couldn't do when you were a baby?

We also said 'hello' to the parents who came along to Reception to find out about reading as well as letters and sounds. There were lots of parents there- thanks for coming!
