As part of 'Book Week' we have been reading the story We're going on a bear hunt. The children have really enjoyed the story and we shared it to the rest of the school during assembly today and to the parents at the end of school. Thank you to all who attended.
At the beginning of the week our Year 6 readers told us that they had seen a big bear wandering around school. So on 'Forestry Friday' we decided that we would make a trap to capture it. The children made a long list of all the resources we would need to make a trap and then worked together to collect all the items. We then helped each other to build the trap and put carrots and apples inside for the bear to eat.
When we arrived back at lunch the Year 4 and 5 helpers said they had seen the bear in our outdoor area near the bonfire. We decided to go on a 'bear hunt'. As we got closer to our trap we could see something moving inside. Then all of a sudden a huge bear appeared and roared very loudly! We were so scared we ran way!!!

But we quickly realised the bear was Jason!!
